The new girl Rachel is ready for a new beginning at Manchester Prep. But after a misconception with the popular girl in which she is blamed for a prank, she finds herself outcasted. Knowing full well she isn’t the one who orchestrated the prank she hunts down the guy she saw and stumbles upon a group of kids with a love for horror and an equal love for scaring others. Before she knows it, she finds herself wrapped up in tricks meant to terrify the popular kids. Eventually though, the pranks get too intense, and they stop going as planned. But once you’re part of The Mary Shelley Club, you aren’t allowed out.

A book for horror movie fans and anyone that has ever felt like an outcast. Mary Shelley Club talks about the purity of fear, and how revenge feels good but letting yourself get consumed in it is a bad idea. I give Mary Shelley Club 4 out of 5 stars. Enjoyable throughout the entire book and it keeps you on your toes.
