only another incentive to agree to the deal. This extensive interview recounts the story of all
seven of Evelyn’s husband along with her luxurious yet reclusive Hollywood life. Evelyn wants to
make sure that when her story is told, it is told authentically so she contacts Monique Grant to
do exactly that. In this riveting tale form Taylor Jenkins Reid, Evelyn extensively details the highs
and lows of her fame and the friendships and love she found along the way.

One of the standout features of this book is the compelling and complex character of Evelyn
herself. The reader is drawn in by her glamour and charm, but also distressed by the selfish
actions she takes throughout her life. The novel does a great job of depicting the many facets of
Evelyn's personality and the choices she makes, both good and bad. The writing style of the
book is also noteworthy, with Reid's prose flowing smoothly and pulling the reader along with
the story. The descriptions of 1950s and 60s Hollywood are vivid and immersive, making it easy
to picture the glamorous settings and glamorous parties that Evelyn attends. Overall, The Seven
Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a great choice for readers who enjoy historical fiction, character-
driven stories, and exploring the complexities of human relationships. It's a must-read for fans
of Reid's previous work and for anyone looking for a well-written and engaging novel.
